Yeah, I got hit with this. A fun one for sure. I pretty quickly realized it had “breached” and infected the router because it even redirected Google on my Cell Phone when I was on wireless. I reset the router and it worked for awhile but eventually came back. So I had to clean out all three pc’s ANND clean the router. Problem is now the router is not coming back on properly. So I am looking to get a new router with better protection. What a mess but thanks for this write-up. By the way – the redirect took me to a gametopia.com page with LINKBUCKS frames at the top and I believe bottom of the page. I even contacted Link Bucks to make them aware of this so that perhaps they can shutdown the affiliate using their program to deliver such malicious junk. What – A – Mess.

After searching ALL day and running security check after security check, I read the redirect problem could be in the router, but i couldn’t find step-by-step instructions on how to fix it anywhere (I’m a complete newbie here…). I’m so thankful I came across your article. The problem seems to be fixed. (I guess I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it really is!) Thank you again for posting. You officially rock!

“AMG Magazine” They did the same thing to me. Acted like they were with a magazine company I do business with. Aren’t there enough things in life with out having to deal with this kind of stuff?

AMG magazine services has been hassling my mother-in-law for months claiming she owes $350.00 for magazines she’s never ordered. They have even threatened to sue her if she doesn’t give them her credit card number. She is elderly, and she is losing sleep over this. She’s afraid she really will be sued, although I have told her repeatedly that she has nothing to worry about. She gets bills in the mail and phone calls almost weekly for 5 months now. They also use the name Magazine Network and Magazine Solutions. Be careful!
